Gel polish is the perfect choice when you want your nails to stay beautiful and groomed for weeks! Gel polish won’t chip or wear off with normal use like regular nail polish, and it’s smudge-proof immediately after polishing.

Let our nail artists create a permanent polish that suits your style!

unbeatable long-lasting gel polish

Gel polish combines the best features of gel paste and nail polish! The thin, LED-curable, long-lasting nail polish stays effortlessly beautiful for weeks, giving your nails a glossy, even finish. We treat the cuticles and clean the nails during the appointment.

To keep your nails looking their best, we recommend a polish service every 2-3 weeks. We do gel polishes on both fingers and toes.

Gel polishing is not for children under the age of 16.

A one color gel polish is always a safe choice!

Natural, light, nude and pastel shades are particularly popular, and are easy to combine with a range of colors.

Our nail studios offer a comprehensive range of shades, so you can choose the one that suits your style and the moment.

The shade of the gel polish can always be changed during nail care.

The Frenchtip gel polish is a timeless classic!

In French gel polish, the tip of the nail is typically polished with white, but colourful variations are also available.

The French gel polish is equally suitable for everyday wear as it is for big celebrations such as weddings.

Gel polish with gradient color, or baby boomer, is the modern version of French manicure.

Like French polish, baby boomer polishes are popular in shades of white and nude – on the other hand, a colorful baby boomer will make your nails look dashing .

The baby boomer is also a popular choice for a wedding day, for example.

Gel polish is not intended to be removed at home and cannot be removed with nail polish remover. Never attempt to tear the varnish off the nail.

In our nail studio, gel polish is gently removed by soaking with a special liquid or filing with a hand or electric file.

Frequently asked questions

Artificial nails are built on a natural nail with acrylate mass to give the nail extra length, thickness and shape.

Gel nails are structural nails made with gel mass.

The gel polish, on the other hand, is applied to the nail from a bottle with a brush, just like normal nail polish.

Gel polish cannot be used to build up the length, thickness or shape of a nail, as it can with gel nails.

Gel polish is applied to the nail, like regular nail polish, but is cured in either an LED or UV oven. The curing time is only 30 seconds in the LED oven and 1-2 minutes in the UV oven. The oven gives the varnish a beautiful, shiny and, above all, durable finish

When applied by a professional, the varnish will last up to two to three weeks at best, and will not chip or wear off under normal use. Constant hand washing, disinfecting, kitchen work, etc. may damage the varnish more quickly.

Gel polish involves the following steps:

  1. Curing the polish: the polish is cured in an oven under UV or LED light.
  2. Nail priming: the cuticles are trimmed and the dead cell is removed from the nail surface. Good priming is essential for a successful and long-lasting polish.
  3. Hand disinfection: before varnishing, nails and hands are well disinfected.
  4. Application of primer: The primer applied to the nail will prime the polish and make the nail surface optimal for the polish to adhere.
  5. Polishing: Polishing is done carefully so that the product does not get on the cuticles.

We do not do gel polishes for children under 16 years of age.

Our nail technicians have used and tested dozens of different gel polish brands over the years and have chosen the best ones for us.

At the moment, we mainly use My Magic, Angel Nails and YUMI™ Nails.

Depending on the location, we have between 200 and 300 gel polish shades available in our salons.

All our salons have a basic stock of 100-150 polish colours, as well as a range of 100-150 polishes for nail technicians at each location.

The range of gel polish shades is therefore not identical in every store, so not all polish shades are always available in all our stores.

However, we believe you’ll find a nearly identical or at least an equally lovely replacement in our extensive range.

When applying a gel polish, the surface of the nail is roughened to ensure that the polish adheres properly. However, the nail itself is not damaged, only the gloss is removed.

However, it takes a professional to judge how much to roughen a nail. That’s why we always recommend having your polish done in a salon by a professional nail technician.

It is a good idea to treat your cuticles daily with cuticle oil. Also apply the oil to the nails and under the nails.

For the actual maintenance of your gel polish, it is always best to come to a salon.

Our gel polishes come with a one-week (seven-day) guarantee. Our guarantee covers any defects caused by the work or products used in the work.

However, the guarantee does not cover breakages caused by failure to follow the home care instructions you receive, nor does it cover chipping of the varnish due to nails hitting the edge of a table, for example, or wear and tear of the gel varnish or peeling decorations.

For warranty issues, please contact our customer service without delay by email : palaute@fenixkauneus.fi. Please include photos of your situation in your message.

Sure you can, but there should be no need for it. The colour of the gelcoat can be changed during maintenance.

No. The tip of the nail is sealed with polish. Breaking the tip seal will remove the seal of the polish, in which case the polish is likely to come off the tip.

Gel polish is at its best on strong nails, but it also provides support for thinner and weaker nails. However, it does not allow you to extend your own nail.

For weak or very short nails, we recommend using your own nail reinforcement.

Gel polish can provide light protection and support for cracked and chipped nails. If the chipping is severe or the problem has been going on for a long time, strengthening your own nails is probably a better option for this problem too.

Also remember to lotion your hands and use cuticle oil. These can also help the situation.

There can be many reasons.

Knocks and hits can cause even durable polish to chip or scratch. So don’t use your nails as tools, and be careful when opening cans, for example.

Cleaning or gardening work, for example, may also wear down polish more quickly than usual. Wherever possible, use protective gloves.

In addition, large variations in temperature can affect the duration of the varnish. In cold temperatures, the flexible gel paste stiffens, which makes the varnish more prone to breakage. We recommend wearing gloves in cold weather, even for short journeys.
