All our massages are gentle and relaxing treatments, which do not aim to modify deep tissues, as in a regular massage or sports massage.

However, as the body relaxes, muscle tension typically eases.

Our massages have the same barriers as “normal” massages. These include infectious skin diseases, inflammation, fever and flu, varicose veins, diabetes and heart disease.

In addition, any condition in which heat sensitivity and sensation are impaired is an impediment to hot stone massage, and Indian head massage is an impediment to cerebrovascular disorders and head injury or disease.

In the past, massage was not recommended for cancer patients because it was thought that it could contribute to the spread of cancer. In the light of current knowledge, this belief has been dispelled and there is no longer any need to avoid massage for cancer patients – on the contrary, massage can be an important form of pampering for cancer patients during their illness.
