Regular foot care helps prevent many common foot problems such as callosity, calluses, ingrown toenails and fungal infections. It also prevents odours and bacterial and fungal infections.

And of course, a pedicure will keep your feet soft and your toenails looking great!

Our wonderful foot treatments – choose the one that’s right for you!

Our foot treatments come with a range of ready-made contents, from which you can choose the one you like, or alternatively you can build your own dream foot treatment based on your own wishes.

Our basic foot treatment always includes a foot bath and the actual treatment part of the treatment, which includes the treatment of nails, cuticles, calluses, warts and stumps as required.

At the end of the treatment, a refreshing foot cream is applied to the feet.

The basic pedicure can be complemented by additional services such as foot massage, nail polish, gel polish or paraffin mask.

You can put together the foot treatment of your dreams by adding the additional services you want to the basic pedicure.

Our full pedicure always includes a foot bath, a treatment (nails, cuticles, calluses, warts, callosity), massage and nail polish (with regular nail polish).

You can also get a full pedicure with a gel finish if you wish. In this case, please select the service “full pedicure with gel polish” from our appointment book.

Our luxury pedicure always includes a foot bath, a foot treatment (nails, cuticles, calluses, warts, calluses), massage and nail polish (with regular nail polish) and a paraffin mask.

The Luxus pedicure is of course available with a gel polish instead of the usual nail polish. In this case, choose the service called “luxury fpedicure with gel polish” from our appointment book.

The YUMI™ Feet treatment is a callus treatment, the main purpose of which is to remove calluses from the feet according to a specially designed treatment protocol.

With YUMI™ Feet, there is no need to bathe your feet, as no softening foot bath is required to remove calluses. Therefore, foot baths are not included in the YUMI™ Feet treatment.

No nails or cuticles are treated during the hardening treatment. As the name suggests, the cure is designed to remove calluses.

YUMI™ Feet is particularly suitable for the removal of calluses, dry heels, calluses and bumps.

Additional services to pedicures

Paraffin treatment is based on the effect of slowly radiating low heat and is particularly suitable for foot treatments.

Deeply moisturising and nourishing, the warm paraffin relieves pain and stiffness. The warm soothing paraffin also stimulates circulation, opens pores and smoothes out itchy skin. The result of the treatment is softer skin that also looks healthier.

The moisturising paraffin treatment is ideal for winter foot care or to bring out those lovely summer boots after winter.

Gel polish is a thin, LED-curable combination of gel paste and nail polish, a so-called long-lasting polish that does not mess up immediately after application.

At best, the gel polish will last for several months on the toes, as it will not chip or wear off under normal use like regular nail polish.

Note! We do not apply gel polish to children under 16 years of age.

Our feet carry us throughout our lives, so it’s important to look after them.

  • If possible, come to a pedicure without nail polish.
  • Weather permitting, arrive in open sandals to allow the nail polish to dry in peace.
  • Please tell your cosmetologist if you have diabetes, circulatory problems in your legs, varicose veins or severe skin or nail changes.

  • If you want your skin to stay soft, apply a daily foot cream to your feet (no treatment alone will permanently moisturise your feet).
  • Use a cuticle oil or cream on your cuticles.

Why go for a pedicure?

Regular foot care:

  • helps prevent many common foot problems
  • maintains the softness of the skin on the feet and prevents it from drying out
  • ensures clean feet and prevents odours
  • stimulates circulation in the legs, which can help reduce swelling and fatigue – especially if you spend long periods of time standing or sitting
  • keep your toenails looking great
  • offers relaxation and stress relief.

Which foot problems can be helped by pedicure?

Callosity are thickened areas of skin that form from repeated pressure or rubbing.

Calluses are larger and thicker areas of skin, often found on the heels or soles of the feet.

Both can be painful and interfere with walking.

Warts are benign tumours caused by the HPV virus.

Warts are contagious and are usually spread either by direct contact between people and their skin or, for example, through contaminated surfaces. Warts are easily transmitted in places such as swimming pools and gyms if you walk barefoot in the showers.

Warts are common and harmless, but they can be particularly aesthetically disturbing. Warts cannot be removed by chiropody, but an attempt can be made to lower the “height” of warts that have grown.

Warts can be removed at home with products containing salicylic acid, available from pharmacies, or in a doctor’s surgery by freezing, laser or surgery.

Often the warts also fade away on their own over time.

If a toenail is allowed to grow into the skin, it often causes pain, redness and possibly nail inflammation.

A common cause of ingrown toenails is an incorrectly trimmed nail or tight shoes. Some people also have a natural tendency for a nail to repeatedly grow into the skin from the same spot for no apparent reason.

In a pedicure, thickened toenails can be significantly thinned to relieve the painful feeling of pressure that such nails can cause when wearing shoes, for example.

Athlete’s foot is a common infection that causes itching, scaling and redness.

Nail fungus makes the nails thick, usually yellow-stained and crumbly.

Fungal infections are always diagnosed by a doctor and treated with topical products and/or antibiotics.

Fungal infections cannot be treated with foot care, so if you suspect a fungal infection, please consult your doctor.

Frequently asked questions about foot treatments

Our foot treatments come with a range of ready-made contents, from which you can choose the one you like, or alternatively you can build your own dream foot treatment based on your own wishes.

You can find descriptions of the contents of our foot treatments on this page under “pedicures”.

Our cosmetologists can advise you on the right treatment interval for you.

If you have problems with your feet, such as ingrown nails or calluses that cause pain, it may be a good idea to have a monthly foot treatment to keep the problems under control.

Otherwise, a suitable interval is 2-3 months.

The condition of your feet does not improve with one or two treatments, but requires regular care – even at home.

The treatment starts with a moisturising exfoliating scrub to ensure that the ingredients are absorbed into the skin as effectively as possible.

After this, the feet are immersed 5 times in a paraffin bath.

As the paraffin solidifies, it forms a “shell” on the skin, which is covered with a plastic bag and a terry cloth sock to enhance the effect of the treatment.

The paraffin is allowed to work on the feet for 10-15 minutes. After the paraffin has taken effect, remove the paraffin wrap from the feet. At the end of the treatment, the skin of the feet is heavenly soft.

Foot care for diabetics is particularly important because diabetes affects many body functions, and foot health is one area that can suffer.

Diabetes can reduce blood flow to the legs, making tissues more vulnerable and making it harder for wounds and infections to heal. Foot care helps to keep the skin in good condition and reduce the risk of infection.

Diabetes can cause neuropathy, which is nerve damage, especially in the legs. This means that a diabetic may not feel pain, heat or soreness. This can lead to serious damage if, for example, an ulcer goes unnoticed and untreated. Regular foot checks and treatment will help prevent this.

Diabetics are at higher risk of infections because their immune systems may be weakened. Regular foot care and proper nail trimming can help prevent infections such as nail infections and fungal infections.

In addition, diabetics are at higher risk of developing leg ulcers, which in the worst cases can lead to tissue colic or even amputation. Professional foot care can help check the feet for potential ulcers and other problems and prevent them from getting worse.

Your beautician can also recommend suitable foot care products to help prevent damage and maintain good foot health.

Regular foot care and check-ups are therefore critical for people with diabetes to prevent complications and support their general well-being.

Excessive foot filing triggers a defensive reaction in the skin on the soles of the feet, which accelerates the thickening of the skin even more.

Filing your feet should therefore be avoided or kept to a minimum.

A little light filiing to “open up” the hardened skin helps the foot cream to absorb and thus soften the skin of the feet considerably.

The drying time of nail polish depends on many factors. The drying of nail polish is influenced by the preparation used, the composition of the polish, the solvents in the polish and the pigment in the polish.

The drying of nail polish is in fact an evaporation process. The varnish “dries” as the solvents it contains slowly evaporate from the varnish.

Nail polish is a top to bottom drying product. The top coat may feel completely dry after only 10 minutes, but towards the bottom the polish can be very wet. In this case, even if the polish appears dry on the surface, it may be shaken if the nail hits something.

The more colour pigment in the varnish, the slower it usually dries. A high pigment content makes the varnish thicker and slower for solvents to evaporate. For this reason, intense red polish dries much more slowly than light pearlescent polish. It is not at all uncommon for a highly pigmented polish to be dry even after more than an hour.

The drying rate of a polish is always individual and polish-specific, and cannot be predicted in advance. We always use quick-drying top coats and quick-drying nail polishes for our foot treatments, but even so, we cannot guarantee that the polish will dry completely immediately after the treatment.

So remember to come in open sandals (weather permitting) if you want to keep your polish looking good. Please note that Beauty Centre Fenix is not responsible for nail polish after leaving the pedicure. Putting socks and shoes on fresh polish will easily ruin your polish. Of course, with gel polish there is no such risk.

A curing treatment by a cosmetologist softens and removes calluses and sets the stage for easier home foot care.

Removing the thick and dry layer of skin, helps foot creams to absorb, keeping feet soft and hydrated for longer.

At the end of the treatment, the beautician always applies a very thick and moisturising cream to the feet, specifically designed for the skin on the feet.

However, no treatment will permanently moisturise the skin on your feet, because unfortunately that is impossible. Therefore, if you want your feet to stay soft for long, you should use a foot cream every day.

Yes, home care is an essential part of foot well-being.

Foot treatment is a first aid and a starting point, after which lasting results can only be achieved through daily maintenance, such as regular application of foot cream.

Yes, it is.
