I joined Fenix back in 2013, but never once have I been bored. I was tipped off by my cosmetology teacher that Fenix was a nice and fair place to work. And it really is. At Fenix, you can’t even get stuck in one place, because there’s always something new coming up, and you get such great support and encouragement to learn something new. I remember how in the early days, sugaring didn’t feel like my thing and I wondered if I would even go out and offer it to my clients. Marjo spent a whole day with me on the subject and gave me a unique introduction and answers to all my questions, after which nothing was a problem. Today, sugaring is my speciality.

I no longer tell my husband in the morning that I’m going to work. I tell him I’m going to do gorgeous nails for lovely women. Fenix is more than a job to me. Now, as a professional, I can do what I did for a long time as a passion hobby while working. Fortunately, Marjo encouraged me on my entrepreneurial path and was there for me when I was nervous about taking the leap into the unknown. She said Fenix is the place for a nail artist who loves challenging nails. And it really is. We can do a lot of things that can’t be done elsewhere.
I would describe Marjo as a super owner who always makes sure that everything at Fenix is up to scratch. The contract model is fair, so we contractors can concentrate on our work and providing the best possible customer service. Both our wishes and those of our customers are responded to immediately. Marjo brings joy to everyone’s life with her presence and that joy is contagious. For colleagues and customers alike.

Fenix was a brand I was familiar with even before I came to work here. The name seemed to come up everywhere and always in a positive light. Fenix was often used as a role model in the context of studies. Even though the brand is cool and prestigious, there’s a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere here. Marjo is one of us as the owner: in the back room we exchange news as colleagues and never have to feel “bossy”.
The work at Fenix is varied and I have had the opportunity to work in all of its offices: in Helsinki, Espoo and Kauniainen. I have also been part of Fenix Beauty Academy’s job coaching team from the beginning. It is inspiring to guide students who are enthusiastic about the industry. The students are a good reminder that this job is still the dream job that I was passionate about during my studies.
