Volume lashes or classic lashes – find yours!
For lash extensions, we do classic and voluminous extensions, with more impressive and voluminous volumes.
The extensions are available in different lengths and curves, so it’s possible to get beautiful but subtle extensions even for those who prefer a natural look.
Lash extensions are made of synthetic loose fibres that are glued to their own natural lashes.
- Up to six ultra-light yet impressive fibres can be installed in a single natural rib.
- The end result is more impressive, but still lighter than using a single, traditional lash fibre.
- They give a thick lash line even for those who don’t have very thick lashes.
- They are very safe for natural reptiles and do not damage them.
- Volume lashes can also be made very natural: the amount of fibres can be varied according to the desired result and your own lashes’ capacity.
- In classic lashes, one fibre is glued to one natural lash.
- One classic fibre is clearly thicker than bulk fibres.
- They add length to the lashes, not so much volume.
- The end result is “mascara-like”.
- Do not damage their own natural ribs.
Different styles suit different faces and eyes.

They will also give you an assessment of the load-bearing capacity of your lashes and help you choose the right size extensions.
If you choose heavier lashes than recommended by our lash technician, we cannot promise that the extensions will stay in place as desired and our guarantee will not be valid.
Instructions for the newcomer to eyelash extensions
- Come for lash extensions without mascara and with clean, dry lashes. Cleaning your lashes vigorously with make-up remover or even just water just before applying the extensions can have a significant impact on the adhesion of the mascara, which can make them significantly less permanent than when applied to dry, clean lashes.
- At least 2 hours must have passed since the previous eye watering (including washing your eyelashes).
- If eye make-up is only cleaned during maintenance, it is likely to have a negative impact on the durability of the fibres.

We still often come across the idea that eyelash extensions or volume lashes should not be washed or wet.
This perception is wrong! Careful cleaning of eyelashes with water and a cleanser should definitely be part of the daily routine of every eyelash extensions user.
Lashes and lash tips accumulate impurities from the skin and the environment. If the dirt is not washed off thoroughly every day, the mascara will not be absorbed into the natural lashes and the durability of the extensions will suffer.
Dirt trapped in the lashes also contains bacteria that can cause nasty infections such as eyelid infections.
Instructions for cleaning your eyelash extensions:
- Wet your hands and face with plenty of water.
- Apply a small, peanut-sized amount of cleansing gel to the palm of your hand (note that the gel does not contain oil – this can weaken the adhesive bond between lashes).
- Rub your hands together in quick movements.
- The gel forms an effective cleaning foam with water.
- Use the foam to clean the lashes and the entire face area.
- Rinse your face.
- Dry face and lashes with light pressure.
- Brush your lashes if necessary.

They are not. A single volume lash fibre is more than six times lighter than a traditional lash fibre.
Volume lashes take only a little more time to apply than traditional lash extensions, depending on the desired result and the amount of volume.
A professional uses a special technique to create beautiful lashes from individual lashes. This speeds up the installation in proportion to the number of lashes.
We recommend servicing your eyelash extensions every 2-4 weeks. Lashes normally take 60-90 days to grow, after which they will fall off and new lashes will grow in their place.
The treatment involves filling in areas where lashes have visibly fallen out and adding extensions to new lashes that have grown long enough.
The maintenance interval may vary widely, as the renewal cycle of eyelashes is individual.
Classic eyelash extensions and volume lashes should always be applied to clean natural eyelashes. It is recommended that lashes are washed approximately 2-3 hours before lash application or lash maintenance.
Just as there are different types of hair, natural dreadlocks behave differently when wet and dry. If the customer has a porous natural hair, watering just before the service will not be a problem. Natural lashes can be dried well by carefully pressing the natural lash against, for example, facial paper.
For other customers, it may take longer for the natural grass to dry after irrigation.
If there is still a lot of moisture inside the natural lash at the time the lashes are installed, the adhesive will stop absorbing inside the natural lash when it comes into contact with the moisture inside the lash. In this case, there is a risk that the adhesive will only adhere to the lash by surface adhesion.
A surface adhesive bond leads to premature breakage of the adhesive seal and consequently the extensions fall off prematurely.
It is quite difficult for a professional to judge on a client-by-client basis whether watering the lashes just before maintenance is detrimental to their durability. For this reason, washing is recommended 2-3 hours before the lashes are applied. Extensions cannot be applied to unclean lashes, as this is more harmful than watering the lashes before maintenance.
A professional will set aside a certain amount of time for lash fitting and maintenance. If the lashes need to be cleaned and dried before the service, this will inevitably take away from the time spent on the lashes.
Alternatively, the professional will book a longer time for the service to clean your eyelashes and may charge you a little more for the service.
It is therefore highly recommended to follow the instructions for washing your eyelashes for a lasting result.
If more eyelashes tend to fall out of one eye, it’s because you sleep on your side and there’s more rubbing on that eye.
Unnecessary touching of eyelashes, oily cosmetics, mascara, heat, sauna, solarium, hot steam, oil supplements, hormonal imbalances, eye drops and some medications can cause premature eyelash extensions to fall out.
During a beach holiday, lashes tend to fall out more than normal due to the sun, sunscreens, swimming and a radical change in climatic conditions.
Besides brushing your eyelash extensions, daily washing is the only thing you need to do to keep your lashes looking beautiful throughout their service life.
To start with, you can discuss your wishes with your lash artist. At the very least, be prepared to tell them whether you want a showy or more natural look and whether you want your lashes to look thicker or longer – or maybe both.
You can also illustrate your wishes with sample photos, but please note that our professionals will always assess whether it is possible to install the lashes shown in the photo for you.
Before starting the lash application, gel strips or adhesive tapes are applied to your lower lashes to cover them. You can then close your eyes and the professional will start gluing the extensions on, lash by lash.
It is important that you keep your eyes closed throughout the whole process.
When done correctly, lashes shouldn’t hurt or feel uncomfortable. Please let your lash technician know if anything feels uncomfortable.
First-timers in particular are often nervous about how they’ll be able to keep their eyes closed for long, but they’ll manage!
Once you get used to it, getting your lashes done is actually like a treat – you lie comfortably on the pedal with your eyes closed and have time just for yourself.
Eyelash extensions and volume lashes are applied by a professional using a cyanoacrylate-based mascara designed for this purpose.
Lash glue forms a very strong adhesive bond that is absorbed into the natural lash and settles around the natural lash and the lash fibre or lash curl. The hardened adhesive bond is 100% waterproof.
Mascara is hardened (or “dried”, i.e. it changes its shape from liquid to solid) by the moisture in the air. Contrary to popular belief, mascaras designed for eyelash extensions are not air-cured.
We only use black mascara.
Yes, you can.
Cyanoacrylate is a pungent-smelling and easily vaporized adhesive. Vapours from the glue near the eyes can cause allergic reactions. In this case, there is no alternative but to remove the extensions quickly.
All mascaras are cyanoacrylate-based. If you’ve been allergic once, you shouldn’t try eyelash extensions a second time.
When having eyelash extensions, the client always takes a conscious and voluntary risk of glue sensitisation. An allergic reaction is not a justification for the sale.
Yes, we only do volume lashes and classic extensions for people aged 16 and over.
Our lashes come with a one week (7 days) guarantee.
The guarantee does not cover incorrectly held or incorrectly treated lashes, or failure to observe the 24-hour drying period.
Complaints must be reported immediately or at the latest 7 days after the lashes have been applied to our customer service: palaute@fenixkauneus.fi After this time, the guarantee is no longer valid.
To ensure that the guarantee is valid, please make sure that:
- You’ve come in with clean and dry lashes.
- You haven’t wet your eyelashes 2h before you arrive.
- You have treated your eyelashes according to the treatment instructions.
- You have cleaned your eyelashes regularly.
- You have brushed your eyelashes every day.
- You have used a detergent for eyelash extensions.
- You have only used oil-free skin care products.
- You have not used any medicated drops or creams on your eyes or eyelids.
- The length and weight of the eyelash extensions are chosen according to the condition of your eyelashes. If you have requested lashes that are too long or too heavy, despite the recommendations of a professional, the guarantee does not cover lash repair.
- You haven’t travelled to warm countries on a beach holiday.
- If your eyes have bled profusely during the application for reasons beyond your control, the warranty conditions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Repairs due to poor durability alone are free of charge only once per repair.
- Only when properly treated will your extensions have a guarantee.
