An alternative to eyelash extensions

The YUMI™ Lashes lash lift is a treatment that uses chemicals to lift your own natural lashes upwards. Your lashes are given length, height and volume – without the need for lash extensions.

So if you’re averse to the idea of eyelash extensions, lash lift is a good option. Your lashes will retain their natural shape and nothing extra will be glued on, but they will still look more spectacular when they are curved.

Before the treatment, the lashes are carefully cleaned to ensure that they are free of make-up and oils that could affect the resistance of the bend.

The lashes are glued with a water-soluble adhesive to silicone moulds, which are available in different sizes for different lash lengths. Using moulds, products and a special technique, the lashes are bent into the desired position.

A bending agent is applied to the base of the lashes to soften the hair and allow the lashes to be bent into the desired shape. Depending on the quality of the hair, this product works on the lashes for 10-18 minutes.

After the curler, an adhesive is applied to the lashes, which “locks” the new shape and position of the lashes and ensures that the new curvature achieved will remain on the lashes for several weeks. The fixative takes 10-15 minutes to take effect.

Finally, the lashes are tinted with a permanent tint to make them look as dark and lush as possible.

At the end of the treatment, a conditioning serum is applied to the lashes to moisturise and nourish chemically treated lashes.

Do not use oil-based products on your lashes for 4-8 weeks before applying a perm.
Preferably come to the treatment without mascara.
Remove contact lenses before treatment.

These tips will help you keep your lashes looking their best for longer:

Do not water your lashes for two days, as water can dry out chemically treated hair.
Moisturise your lashes 1-2 times a day with Yumi™Lashes moisturising and nourishing colourless mascara. Lashes stay more beautiful, vibrant and beautifully curved for longer when you moisturise daily.
Brush your lashes every morning and evening to keep them neat and tidy and to do justice to their full length.
You can start a new Yumi™Lashes treatment after about 8 weeks.

Different types of lashes and lash lifts

Lash lift is done by gluing the lash onto the bending mould for the duration of the bending agent and conditioner. The bending moulds are silicone pads of different sizes, from which you choose the one that suits the length and quality of your lashes.

Blonde lashes can be given a gorgeous transformation with a permanent lift! Permanent colouring alone can often give blonde lashes an intense look, and when you perm the lashes, you can bring out the full length of the lashes.

The permanent colour will fade within a few weeks, so we recommend renewing the permanent colouring, especially for blond lashes, between permanent colouring, about once a month.

Long and bushy lashes after bending may even resemble natural classic lash extensions.

When bending long lashes, it is important to use larger moulds so that the lashes do not bend backwards in a too steep curve.

If the lashes are very thick, they need to be carefully separated during permanent lash extensions. With thick lashes, the hairs often grow overlapping in several layers and the result may not be as distinct as with thinner lashes.

If your eyelashes are straight – and maybe even growing downwards – their length will not show, especially when viewed from the front.

With a perm, even lashes like these can be lifted upwards to show off their length beautifully.

With Lash lift, curved straight lashes stay beautifully curved even with mascara, so you no longer need eyelash curlers.a.

It can be difficult to get stiff lashes to bend and stay bent with traditional eyelash curlers, but with lash lift, even stiff lashes can be given a lasting bend.

If necessary, the duration of the products can be adjusted if the quality of your lashes requires it.

Absolutely! YUMI™ Tint permanent colours finish off your spectacular look and make your eyes sparkle! Permanent eyelash tinting is always part of the permanent tinting treatment.

Yes, it is. We only do permanent eyelash extensions for people aged 16 and over.

We will not make a permanent withdrawal if:

you are pregnant or breast-feeding (the substances do not affect pregnancy or breast-feeding, but altered hormonal activity in the body may have a negative effect on the outcome of the treatment and in the worst cases the hair may not grow back at all)
you are under 16 years old
you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the products
you have alopecia
you have an eye infection
you are currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
you have trichotillomania

We strongly recommend not to have eyelash extensions and eyebrow lamination if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The YUMI™ Lashes products used in treatments have no effect on the pregnancy itself, but the hormones of pregnancy and lactation may affect the chemical treatment of the lashes or brows in a way that may affect the results of the treatment. In this case, the treatment may not be successful, the result may be sluggish or the lashes may straighten faster than usual.

Absolutely! Many people with short eyelashes are surprised after treatment how long their lashes look. A lash tint included in the treatment adds to the spectacle.

The result lasts 8-10 weeks, which is the normal life span of eyelashes.

The effect of YUMI™ Lashes stops when the bending leaves with the changing lashes. The lashes regenerate completely within three months, so after that time, the lashes that have been permed will have fallen off and will have been replaced by new, non-permed lashes.

The YUMI™Lashes permanent lash lift was born in France in 2008 and has since been widely acclaimed by beauty editors around the world. It is a real alternative to eyelash extensions and loose lashes.

Using oil-based products – especially castor oil or coconut oil – on your lashes is very likely to saturate your lashes with oil and create an impermeable film. In this case, the active ingredients of the treatment cannot penetrate through the oil layer, which can significantly affect the final result of the treatment.

The effects of the use of oil-based products on the success of permanent drainage are highly individual. For some, even a small amount of oil can have a significant effect on the final result, while for others the use of oil-based products has little effect.

To be on the safe side, we recommend sticking to oil-based products (castor oil, coconut oil, oil-based eye make-up remover) for a few weeks before the permanent drying treatment.

If you feel that your lash lift has been left too lax, or alternatively you feel the curvature of your lashes is too tight, the result of the treatment can be corrected within seven days of the original treatment.
